Best Javascript Newsletters for 2015

The software industry changes quite rapidly compared to other industries. I have been asked several times how programmers and developers keep up with such a rapidly evolving industry. I believe the secret is that we as developers have evolved systems and processes that help us stay up to date with the industry. Newsletters and ezines are one category of tools that help us keep up. If you are a javaScript developer or a web developer who wants to stay on top of the industry, here is a list of the best javaScript newsletters and ezines to follow for 2015. FYI, they are all completely free. If I have left out your favorite, let me know in the comments section.

Without further ado, here is the list of newsletters and ezines (in no particular order) that every javaScript developer should be paying attention to.

JavaScript Weekly

JavaScript weekly describes itself as “a free, once–weekly e-mail round-up of JavaScript news and articles.” If you have not already subscribed to javaScript weekly, I highly recommend it. It is my personal favorite and I look forward to receiving the weekly email from javaScript weekly every Friday. They have a sample issue available to checkout before you subscribe.

 Superhero JS

Superhero JS is actually a collection of highly curated links to JavaScript resources and describes itself as – “a collection of the best articles, videos and presentations we’ve found on the topic.” I can personally attest that the links on the site are indispensable for javaScript programmers at every level and they are maintained by front end development giants like Addy Osmani. Superhero JS also puts out a newsletter which you can signup for on their website.

Newspaper.IO JavaScript Edition creates several daily and weekly newsletters covering a variety of topics including Go, AWS, Postgresql, Node and JavaScript. When you sign up for the Javascript newsletter you are given to option to receive either the daily or weekly edition or both. The weekly edition is a summary of the highlights of the daily edition. It worth trying both to decide what works best for you.

As previously stated, if we have left out your favorite Javascript related newsletter or if you discover a new one let us know in the comments and we will update this post accordingly. Feel free to discuss your favorite methods for keeping up with the industry as well and we will round up resources and links for other methods as well. Thanks for reading.
